Dr. Moamen Abdelrahim

Consultant - Urology

Dr. Moamen Amin Abdelrahim is a Consultant Urologist, has more than 22 years’ experience in his field with a special interest in minimally invasive stone management, Laparoscopic Surgery, Open urological procedures, Oncology, Reconstructive Surgery and Andrology including male sexual dysfunction and male infertility. He graduated from Al Azhar universty in 1994, got the Master Degree in Urology in 1999 and Medical Doctorate (PhD) in Urology in 2004, then Fellowship in Uro-oncolgy from McGill Univesity Health center, Montreal, Canada in (2006- 2008) .He is  currently Associate professor of Urology in Al Azhar University Cairo, Egypt .

Dr. Moamen has good experience in open urological procedures including urolithiasis, oncology, reconstructive surgery and renal transplantation. Transurethral resection of the prostate, transurethral incision of the prostate and Green laser prostatectomy as well as open prostatectomy for benign prostatic hyperplasia, nerve sparing retro-pubic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer and trans urethral resection of bladder tumour. In addition to Nephron-sparing surgery for renal tumours.  He has long experience in endourological procedures including percutaneous renal surgery, ureteroscopy, and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. Also, Interventional renal ultrasonography and transrectal ultrasonography and Laparoscopic surgery including varicocelectomy, partial and radical nephrectomy and cryptorchidism. Pediatric plastic urological surgery including pyeloplasy, hypospadias repair , urolithiasis and oncology. Female stress incontinence surgery and minimal invasive procedures Trans obturator tape procedure. Moreover, Urodynamic examination including cystometery, urethral pressure profile and pressure flow study. Andro-surgery and male infertility management.Dr. Moamen has many Publications and Research on Stone Diseases, Reconstructive Surgery, Urological Tumours Diseases, Prostate and Voiding Dysfunction.
